  • Jeff Bigelow,  interim Lead Pastor

    Jeff Bigelow founded Rolling Hills Christian Church in 1995. He has been a pastor, youth pastor, professor, recruiter and coach, but more importantly is a husband, father and grandfather. He holds one undergraduate degree and two graduate degrees in theology and history. He loves his family, Rolling Hills, sports and desserts! But most of all Jeff has a passion to reach out to people who do not know the eternity-changing message of Jesus Christ. Jeff is excited to be serving Rolling Hills again as our Interim Teaching Pastor while we recruit our new Lead Pastor.

    Philip joined the Rolling Hills team in 2015 from Mountaintop Community Church in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served as lead worship pastor. He is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University in Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, specializing in church music. Additionally, he has more than 17 years of experience in worship ministry and 10 years in large church settings.He and his wife, Kristen, have been married for 17 years, and they have three children – Spencer, Nathan and Mandy. Philip is passionate about engaging the church in authentic worship, building teams, and helping people realize and use their gifts.

    Rob is a born and raised El Dorado Hills native. He has attended Rolling Hills with his family since 2002. After graduating from Oak Ridge in 2008, Rob started as the Student Ministries Intern at Rolling Hills. During that time he attended William Jessup University and graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry and a minor in Bible & Theology. Upon graduation from WJU, he accepted the role as the Director of Junior High Ministry. He loves junior high students and has a passion for seeing their lives transform as they draw nearer to God. Rob’s goal is to engage junior highers to be servants of Christ now, and to reach those in their lives who don’t know Him. Rob spends his free time coaching football and hanging with his family and friends. He loves Oakland Raider football, apple pie, and the United States of America.

  • KATE GRAVES-MERCADO, CHILDREN'S DIRECTOR

    Kate was born and raised in California. She loves children and wants them all to know how much Jesus loves them! She has passion and energy for making church an AMAZING experience for kids. She has been actively involved in Roll Hill Church for many years. She has been on staff with our Children's team for the past couple of years as our Early Childhood Coordinator and our Camp X Director. Kate adores her family, including her husband Eric and their three boys, Quinten, Joaquin and Jaqx. She enjoys cheering her boys on during their many sporting events, cooking & baking, helping out at her boy’s schools and connecting with others.

  • Bud Lamb, Recovery Pastor

    Born and raised in Washington and Oregon, Bud loves being outdoors. Bud started serving in church teaching kids in Sunday School while pursuing careers with the JC Penney Company and commercial real estate. Along the way he and his wife Lea Ann began to serve in DivorceCare while living in Santa Cruz, CA. Together they have been helping people find hope and healing for more than 25 years. As Care Pastor, Bud works with great teams of women and men to create opportunities for men, women, singles, couples, and seniors to grow in their faith and devotion to following Jesus. Bud and Lea Ann have two adult children and look for any opportunity to be with them. An avid trail runner, he and Lea Ann enjoy kayaking, hiking, and RVing anywhere in the Sierras.  

  • Eric Bergen, COO

    Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Eric began his church work early, serving "on staff" as a janitor at his church and as president of his HS youth group.  Eric holds an MS in Health Administration from the University of Colorado and a BA in History from Westmont College.  Eric spent more than 20 years in the health insurance/HMO industry, mostly in executive roles with UnitedHealth Group in Minnesota. He was also the CEO of a business coaching firm in the San Francisco area for 5 years.   On staff since November 2014, Eric gets excited about serving alongside all the amazing staff and ministries of our church, preparing us for the growing impact Roll Hill is having in this community!  For leisure activities, Eric and his wife, Debbie, enjoy bike riding each weekend, and vacationing with (and without) their kids. They have four grown children, living as close as Colfax and as far away as Minnesota.

  • Denise Johnson, Director of Compassion & Administration

    Denise holds a BA in Marketing from University of Hawaii, Manoa. She worked in corporate management and finance for 15 years before starting her own consulting firm specializing in bookkeeping and financial management 10 years ago. After volunteering at Rolling Hills for more than eight years, she became part of the staff and now oversees the Finance, Communications, HR and IT areas. Her passion is helping to lead our Mexico mission and to see God moving in the lives of the team and the people of Mexico. She and her husband, Mike, have been married for over 30 years and have two children, Taylor and Ian.

  • Mark Kerner, Director of facilities

    Born in Sacramento, Mark has had a multitude of careers, including a bench mechanic, steel worker, high school wrestling coach, restaurateur, a loan officer, and a facilities director. He has owned two restaurants, a catering company and a landscape business; and he is a landscape contractor and has held a California real estate license. Additionally, he is certified in real estate law, appraisals, ethics, business, loans and sales. Above all, he is a Christian - and he believes his career as Director of Facilities is advancing the word and love of Christ to the best of his ability. He has been married to the lovely Cheri Kerner for 10 years. Together, they have five kids - Stephen, Nicholas, Nicki, Alyssa and Mia. Oh, Mia is a dog, but please don't tell her if you meet her. Mark lives in El Dorado Hills and loves it.
